My view on the local church has changed and the things that used to be important to me are not important to me any longer. I have researched and dove into scripture to find out what God really says about the church. (A blog on this soon to come....actually probably a series on this, one won't cover it). God is just amazing!!!!

I got to wear my rain boots ALL WEEK!!!!!!! I love the rain and the cold weather, so I was in heaven this week! I'm a little sad that it is supposed to heat up this weekend but on the other hand, I get to ride my bike, so I'm good! ;)

High Five Number One

God is so good!  Life has been pretty up and down lately.  I have slowly felt myself becoming negative.  God turned a recent negative situation into something very positive.  He used it to open my eyes to some of things I was holding on to and not handing over to God.  I have been holding on to some of the pain from our miscarriage in January and I needed to set aside some time with God to really hand it over to Him.  When we hold on to things so tightly, we don't allow Him to come in and restore and make new again.  I had to make that step to hand it over to Him!

I'm prepping for a new life group semester and where it's busy and chaotic, I feel so much peace about this next semester.  Maybe it's because I'm much more comfortable in this position!  Thank You Jesus!

The past two weeks have been exhausting and busy but I'm really glad that the busyness is coming to an end and I will be able to relax next week.  God is good!

I made my first bridal appointment in search for the perfect dress today! My heart about jumped out of my chest when I hung up the phone!  I get to marry my best friend! EEEEE!!!!!!!

Have you ever had that moment where you felt at complete peace with where you were?  Like you just know you are smack dab in the middle of His will for your life?  Well I had that moment today and it felt so peaceful and amazing and I could just feel His arms around me!

God is working in my friendships and it's awesome!  Some old friendships are flourishing and new ones are starting.  I have been praying for restoration in one and I feel it coming soon!  God is totally preparing my heart for it and with that being said, He amazes me so much! I fall more and more in love with Him DAILY!

I get to see my sissy soon!  She will be able to meet us in Amarillo to go dress shopping and I'm so excited!!!!!!

I'm super excited to get a haircut this week.  I had to pick out a hairstyle for my wedding day because I needed a haircut so bad.  Hopefully I won't change my mind between now and Feb. 27th!!!!

I was able to spend a good hour talking to my amazing friend Sally today!  Oh how I love her.  We talked about her journey with Henry and laughed and giggled (as usual) and talked about the wedding day and planned a trip for Dare Bear and I to visit in March!  I'm so excited to see her!  Please keep her in your prayers!

This week was really busy but filled with so many blessings.  I was able to really enjoy some one on one time with one of the ladies in my Thursday morning Bible study and it was truly a gift.  All of the ladies are between the ages of 50-80 so it's an honor to be in the presence of such amazing women of God.  Their wisdom just astounds me!  Getting to know them one on one is a goal of mine and I'm so excited to grow closer to these amazing women of God.

High Five For Friday Number Four ~

We all know how precious friendships are.  Life is so fragile and let's face it, with busy schedules and busy lives.....we tend to overlook special people in our lives.  Life long friendships are hard to come by.  Just like any relationship; friendships take work and patience.  We have to be able to love big, share much, and be able to forgive and learn to be humble when we need forgiveness.  It was a blessing to spend some time with my sweet friend Margo.  Margo and I have been super duper close girlfriends since Jr. High and needless to say, we have been through A LOT together.  Time and schedules and anything else you want to throw in put some distance between us but we finally found some time to be able to sit down and have lunch, talk, and have a few giggles!  I'm very thankful for the lunch date and we have decided to make girlfriend lunch a priority!  Same place same time next week!

High Five For Friday ~ Fall Is A Great Season To FALL In Love.....

High Five Number One ~ This week has been a crazy week of change.  I left my job at Covenant to start a new job working from home.  Definitely bitter sweet.  I left a group of girls that I adored working with and I have been praying like crazy that they find a replacement for my position quickly and that the burden is not too heavy on them.  Even though leaving was a hard decision, the last couple of days have been stress free and I can truly feel the effects stress was doing to my health and body and spiritual self.  My cardiologist has told me several times to eliminate as much stress as I can from my life and I strive on that.  Little did I know, my job at Covenant was probably the biggest stressor in my life.  Stress eliminated!

High Five Number Two ~ Yay for time now!  I have had time for my Bible study every morning since I left that job and time to catch up on my blog!  Wow!  I used to write in my blog almost daily if not daily at the VERY LEAST weekly!  That stopped for a while.  Writing is something that makes me happy so it feels good to be back at it.

High Five Number Three ~ Fall weather has peeked it's BEAUTIFUL face this week and I hope it lasts.  Living in Texas, it can be fall one day and back to summer the next, so I'm hoping this will last for a while......at least until winter. ;)

High Five Number Four ~ The weekend is here and I'm looking forward to it.  Not sure what is in store but I'm sure it will be lovely!

High Five Number Five ~ This week, my amazing boyfriend really came through for me.  He is so amazing and I'm so blessed to have him in my life.  Everyday spent with him is a blessed day and I thank God for him every morning!  He is answered prayers that's for sure!  :)

High Five Number One - It's a new year!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!

High Five Number Two - Holidays are over and it's time to get back to life..... I LOVE the holidays but it's kinda nice to get back to the normal routine that we seem to lose track of between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day.  

High Five Number Three - Texas Tech won the Holiday Bowl!!!!!!!  It was an awesome game!!!!!!

High Five For Friday ~ Christmas Is About The Children.....and a little shopping

This has been a fun festive busy week! I love this time of the year.  Christmas is by far my most favorite season and holiday!!!

One of our sweet patients brought sweet treats and a surprise Christmas visit.... I'm blessed to have such wonderful children in my life!

Highlight of my week was watching these two kiddos sing at their school Christmas Concert.  I love these kids so much!

Christmas shopping with my cousin/roommie today..... we got rained on and our feet hurt by the end of the day but we had a blast!  I even got to run into one of my favorite Disney Characters.....

The greatest high five of the week is..... that tomorrow..... we are celebrating this little guy....

A year ago I watched this guy come into the world.  I literally watched him enter the world and saw his eyes the first time he opened them to see what the world outside of mommy was all about.  I heard his first little cry and I was there to watch his mother hold him for the first time.  That moment will always be embedded in my heart and soul.  He's growing so fast and I'm so happy to share his first birthday with him!!!!!  Happy Birthday Andrew!!!!!!

The BIGGEST high five of the week..... FULLY letting go of the past and realizing how much God has worked in my heart over the last few months.  Realizing that He allowed heartaches to happen and disappointments to break my heart so that I could be in His perfect will!  Finally grasping that His best for me is yet to come and what I thought was the best was certainly not (FAR from it).  Finally waking up to eyes wide opened and realizing so much that I was blind to, things literally clicked for me in one moment and that one moment changed EVERYTHING for me! God is so AMAZING!!!!!  I have never been happier in my life than where I am now!  Being with my family is so amazing, my Church is phenomenal, my childhood friends ROCK, I start my new job on Monday, I was asked to be in another commercial for Fox 34, my photography business is growing, and I have adored the single life so much!!!!  It's really been amazing to see how much I have grown in every aspect of my life and I owe it all to Him!!!!!!  Thank you Jesus!!!!!  Life is the most amazing it has ever been!!!!!

This week has been a very busy one and AMAZING one so picking my top High Five is tough!

High Five Number One:

I am so thankful that my photography business is BOOMING!  I've been so busy this week!  God is AWESOME!  Thank you Jesus for your favor!

High Five Number Two:

The parentals are pretty awesome!  I have really enjoyed being home!  I'm pretty sure moving back home has been the BEST decision I have ever made in my life!  I'm so happy and God has done so much for my life!  His Favor is upon me and it's all because I obeyed Him!

It is the FIRST day of Love Bug Month!!!!!!  LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!

I spent lots of GIRLFRIEND time with amazing friends this week!  BAM!
