I'm loving that I get to reflect on 2015 and prepare for 2016 by making new goals and anticipating an awesome 2016!

I'm loving the new series I started to watch on Netflix this week!  Its so cute!

Weekend Shenanigans - Church Retreat and Weekend Get Away

Normally the hubby and I have very boring weekends.  This past weekend was full of adventures and fun!

Thursday afternoon we headed off to Ruidoso, NM for a leadership retreat for my work.  Hubby got to go with me, so that made it much sweeter!  The weekend was filled with fellowship and quality time with my baby!

Thursday evening after our first session, we had dinner with some of my co-workers and their spouses.  I learned more about my brothers and sisters and enjoyed fellowship.

Friday after the morning session, Darin and I spent some good quality time together!  We haven't had a chance to take any time away together since we got married, so we took advantage.  We did our favorite, antique shopping.  I scored me this cute little Christmas book.

Then we drove an hour and half to visit White Sands National Monument and it was breathtaking!

Then we had the evening sessions back in Ruidoso.  Spending time with co-workers and friends was amazing!  I am growing to love many of them and they are becoming more than just co-workers but they are becoming my family!

We then headed back to the lodge and watched a movie in front of the fire and relaxed!

The next morning before leaving Ruidoso, hubby stopped and got me a bag of apples.  I kept saying I was craving an apple, so he stopped and grabbed me a bag full of apples!  Marriage is so sweet with the right one!

We had planned on heading to El Paso as that is where hubby is from but an emergency back home happened and we had to quickly turn around and come back home.  Everything is good now, so no worries but the rest of the weekend was a little hectic and not as relaxing as we had hoped.  Thank goodness I have a couple of days off for some rest and me time.

What weekend Shenanigans did YOU get into!?

Romance And The City ~ A Wedding Day To Remember

I haven't had a chance to post about our beautiful time in New York City!

Darin and I ran off to NYC to get married and it was PHENOMENAL!!!

Our hotel looked over Time Square.....it was amazing!

We enjoyed the food and the people!  It was all so amazing!

Some of our favorite places were China Town, Gray's Papaya (the BEST hot dogs EVER), Central Park, Grand Central Station (where we had our wedding portraits taken, and of course the excitement of Times Square!  I fell in LOVE with New York city.  I did NOT want to leave!!!!

We celebrated Darin's birthday on Feb 25th, got married on the 27th, and celebrated my birthday on March 1st.  So, we spent some special days in NYC.  It was the best!  Our wedding day was magical! Getting married in NYC, just us two, was romantic and peaceful and just all out AMAZING!!!!

Thanksgiving In Colorado

So this year, Darin and I drove my mother to Colorado to see my Tia Ofelia.  We haven't spent a big holiday with her in YEARS, since I was a little girl.  So, this trip was super special to us!  Not to mention, it was mine and Darin's first BIG HOLIDAY spent together!

It was nice to finally spend a holiday with sweet little Rachel.

It was also neat to see the Christmas trees in my cousins, Raul and Rachel's honor.  We have seen pictures of them on facebook every year but seeing them in person was different.  I miss them both so much and it is always harder around the holidays.

I spent the majority of my time with Little Rachel!  I couldn't help it, she is sooooo easy to fall in love with.  The first night I was there, we spent the majority of our evening putting on our jamboree nails.  It was fun!

And of course, Thanksgiving Day was a BLAST! Time with family is always a good time!
